A company of unmanned ground systems from the brigade adapted a ground drone with a UB-16-57 launcher, originally designed for aircraft and capable of firing up to 16 unguided S-5 rockets.
According to the company commander, identified by the call sign “Електрик,” the initiative came from him. To make the project feasible, the team removed the launcher from an aircraft that had served as a monument for around 70 years in the city of Berestyn. In addition, 150 rockets were recovered and are now actively used in attacks against Russian targets.

According to “Електрик,” the unexpected use of a ground drone with heavy weaponry caused disorientation among Russian troops, who began shelling the area with all types of armaments, including conventional artillery.
Although initially considered a “dubious” idea, the system has already proven effective and has become an active tool within the brigade.
Growing use of ground platforms
The use of ground robots by Ukrainian forces has been increasing. The 20th Separate Regiment of Unmanned Systems “K-2”, for example, managed to evacuate four wounded soldiers in just four days using robotic vehicles in combat zones.
