A video released by the official channel of the Russian aircraft industry shows the Il-114-300 in Zhukovsky, where the prototype is undergoing tests and final adjustments ahead of its international debut at Wings India 2026, taking place from January 28 to 31 in Hyderabad.
The aircraft has already been fitted with a passenger cabin, underscoring the pre-demonstration phase for the public and potential customers.
The United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), the aviation holding of Rostec, will present outside Russia for the first time its latest regional aircraft: the Il-114-300 and the Superjet with import substitution. Both are part of the strategy for the international expansion of Russian civil aviation.

The Superjet will be displayed in a static exhibition with a special livery inspired by the colors of the Indian flag. Built using serial production technologies, the jet employs Russian-made systems and assemblies, including the PD-8 engines from United Engine Corporation. As part of the import substitution program, the aircraft has received a fully Russian interior; the new production-standard cabin will be presented to the public for the first time during the event.

The Il-114-300, powered by TV7-117ST-01 engines, also from United Engine Corporation, will feature an installed passenger cabin and will take part in the exhibition’s flight program. The turboprop was designed for the development of regional routes, with the capability to operate autonomously at small aerodromes, short runways, and sites with limited infrastructure. The aircraft is certified to operate across a wide range of climates, from Arctic regions and Siberia to mountainous areas and tropical and subtropical climates.

According to Rostec, India is a strategic partner of Russia, with long-term technological cooperation aligned with the Make in India policy. India’s UDAN (Ude Desh ka Aam Naagrik) program, aimed at expanding regional air transport and accessibility, creates favorable conditions for the commercial potential of the Superjet and the Il-114-300 in the local market.
During Wings India 2026, UAC will showcase advances in Russian civil aviation at its stand and participate in roundtables on the development of the Indian aviation industry. With the support of the Trade Representation of Russia in India, technical presentations of the Superjet and the Il-114-300 are planned for local specialists and operators, amid expressed interest from regional airlines.

Wings India 2026 is Asia’s largest event dedicated to civil aviation, organized by India’s Ministry of Civil Aviation, the Government of India, the Airports Authority of India (AAI), and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI).
