The Russian army has received a new batch of BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicles and BMD-4M airborne combat vehicles, according to information provided by the manufacturer Kurganmashzavod.

The released images show the armored vehicles being loaded onto trains for transport to military units.
The delivered vehicles are equipped with additional protection kits, including reinforced armor and articulated lattice screens. These modifications are intended to enhance the defense of the vehicles against aerial drone attacks and minimize damage from high-explosive munitions, especially on the sides.
The extra protection consists of armored screens and anti-cumulative grills, which are mounted directly on the Russian army’s units. Additionally, the vehicles have been equipped with “Cape” kits, designed to reduce the visibility of the vehicles in thermal and radar spectrums, providing better protection against enemy detection.
Kurganmashzavod, the responsible manufacturer, reported that in the first nine months of this year, they increased the production of infantry fighting vehicles by 20% compared to the same period last year. To meet the demands of the state’s defense order, some of the company’s workshops are operating 24 hours a day.
The company also mentioned that, in addition to the volumes planned in the schedule, they are fulfilling additional obligations to supply BMP-3s to the Russian army this year, as part of their ongoing efforts to support the armed forces in the context of the ongoing conflict.
