North Korea has intensified its demonstration of military power by conducting a major launch with its 600mm multiple rocket systems, while the country’s leader, Kim Jong-un, supervised the artillery exercises.

According to reports from the state media KCNA, the exercises took place on Monday, March 18, 2024, with the presence of Kim Jong-un. The gunners involved in the exercises were described as filled with great enthusiasm and combat morale, demonstrating their dedication to Kim Jong-un’s leadership and the strengthening of the country’s military capabilities.

The official North Korean government agency highlighted the importance of these exercises in strengthening national defense, emphasizing the role of “large multiple rocket launchers” as ‘the most powerful and unmatched weapon in the world.’
Meanwhile, South Korea reported detecting something different during this launch compared to previous events, but did not provide further details on their observations.
