In the clip, posted on Reddit, a man is seen riding his motorcycle along a dirt road near a forest in Idaho, United States.
Suddenly, a bear jumps out from the trees and starts crossing the road right as the man is passing by on his motorcycle.
As a result, the rider crashes directly into the animal. In the footage, both can be seen rolling away in opposite directions.
But before the bear could recover and possibly strike back, the motorcyclist quickly approached to turn off his bike and ran away from the scene.

“That’s my buddy. We were about 20 to 30 seconds behind him. I didn’t 100% believe him when he said he hit a bear until we saw the GoPro,” said the Reddit user who shared the video.
“I just thought maybe he saw one, got scared, and exaggerated. Nope. The guy hit a bear,” the user added, without revealing whether the rider was able to recover the motorcycle or what happened to the bear after the collision.
