Videos posted on social media show a military cargo plane type Il-76 crashing in the Ivanovo region, Russia

The Russian Ministry of Defense stated: “On March 12, 2024, around 1 pm, the military cargo plane Il-76 crashed during takeoff for a planned flight in the Ivanovo region. There were 8 crew members and 7 passengers on the plane.”
The Ministry stated that, according to the report submitted at the scene, it was emphasized that the accident occurred due to the burning of one of the aircraft’s engines during takeoff.
All people on board the aircraft died in the crash.
