A mechanic filmed the moment he glued a stingy customer’s car wheel with super glue after the customer asked to cancel a service because he found a cheaper option.
Max shared a video on his TikTok profile explaining that he had received a customer who left his car at his shop for a brake pad and rotor replacement but then backed out after finding a cheaper alternative elsewhere.
The last-minute change did not sit well with Max, and he said his frustration led him to act. In the clip, he is seen gluing the customer’s wheel with Loctite super glue. “This wheel will never come off again,” he wrote in the text overlay on the clip.
Max’s video has already accumulated over 250,000 views, more than 7,000 likes, and numerous comments. Although Max did this to express his frustration, most internet users agreed that his action is considered property vandalism and that he could be sued for it.
“The easiest lawsuit,” said one TikTok user. “And the fact that you documented it is vehicle vandalism,” added another. “I would sue […] this shop,” commented a third. “Malicious intent,” wrote yet another.
Still, not everyone saw it that way. A handful of commenters argued that the video clearly had a humorous tone, although Max has not publicly confirmed this.
“You’re saying the lawsuit is easier, but he could say he just didn’t want the wheel [to fly off],” joked one commenter. “This is just a meme video,” emphasized another. “People don’t realize this is a joke,” shared a third.
