On Wednesday, the 14th, McLaren left Formula 1 enthusiasts thrilled as it unveiled its latest car for the 2024 season. Dubbed MCL38, the new car aims to keep the team among the best on the circuit, following the impressive performance of the last semester of last year.

Addressing journalists during the launch event, team director Andrea Stella expressed optimism about the prospects for the upcoming season. “The team has done a good job during the winter, and we are confident in our ability to be competitive, although there are still some things to do before the start of the season,” Stella said.
Compared to the previous year, Stella seemed more confident this time, recalling the challenging debut at McLaren in 2023 when the team faced a tough start to the season. On that occasion, the team scored only 17 points in the first eight races of the year.
However, thanks to the developments introduced in the car from the Austrian Grand Prix in July, McLaren began to achieve positive results, culminating in a respectable fourth place in the constructors’ championship, accumulating 302 points.
British driver Lando Norris, who achieved seven podiums in the last 13 races of the previous season, expressed excitement about the new car. “I can’t wait to test the car in Bahrain. I’m sure we can maintain last season’s pace,” Norris said, preparing for his sixth season at McLaren.
With Norris’s talent and the team’s efforts to improve car performance, McLaren fans have reasons for optimism as they await the start of the 2024 Formula 1 season.
