A man was shocked when he returned to his car, which had been parked outdoors on a hot day, and discovered that the side of his door was dented.
Suspecting that someone might have hit his car while he was away, the driver went to the store to check the security camera footage.
However, no one came near his car the entire time it was parked there. So, he turned to his second guess: the sun.
The weather was so hot that day that the heat caused his door to dent. “So, this is… This is like a huge dent. Like, this thing is massive. Arizona heat is no joke,” the man narrated in the video, which has already received over 40,000 views.
In the comments, some suspected that the footage showing a possible impact had been deleted from the security camera, but most users agreed it was the result of previous damage.
“I imagine the dent was probably there for a long time and the heat likely pushed it back out, because the same method to remove a dent is to heat it and pull it with a suction cup,” analyzed a TikTok user.
“There’s a chance the door was dented before you bought it, it was [pulled out] and the heat triggered that memory,” reflected another. “Go to Harbor Freight and get a suction tool and pull it out,” suggested a third user.
