The missile was guided by a waypoint navigation system, accurately following the programmed course and showcasing the robustness of its avionics and software. This project is a collaboration between the Aeronautical Development Establishment (ADE) based in Bengaluru, and various other DRDO labs and Indian industrial partners, including the Gas Turbine Research Establishment (GTRE) which developed the propulsion system.

The Defense Minister, Shri Rajnath Singh, congratulated the team on the successful test, highlighting it as a significant milestone for the country’s defense research and development.

The Secretary for Defense Research and Development and the Chairman of DRDO, Dr. Samir V Kamat, also praised the DRDO team, emphasizing the importance of this indigenous technology in strengthening India’s defense capabilities.
