The Russian complex was destroyed 30 km south of the city of Donetsk, where it was intended to provide air defense for enemy units. Thanks to the operational actions of the “Shadow” aerial reconnaissance unit, the system was detected and its coordinates were passed on to one of the artillery units.
To destroy the Russian Pantsir-S1, two missiles were used. The first missile caused initial damage, while the second missile caused extensive damage that resulted in a fire in the anti-aircraft module and the entire system.
After the impact of the second missile, the Pantsir-S1 crew abandoned the vehicle and fled towards their own positions across the fields.
