A driver who lost control of his car on a highway in Long Island, USA, ended up crossing four lanes while flying through the air.
In the video, captured by the dashcam of another car on the road at the time of the accident, you can see the Honda being catapulted to the other side of the road while flying in a cloud of dust.
According to authorities, the driver was a 70-year-old man who suffered a seizure behind the wheel. “He had a medical episode,” said Dennison DeNatalie, spokesperson for the Bay Shore Fire Department, to The New York Post.
This caused “him to lose control and fly off the embankment onto the service road, across the west and eastbound lanes, and land on the embankment on the east side.”
Miraculously, the car didn’t hit any other vehicles while it was being propelled to the other side of the road. Meanwhile, the elderly man suffered only minor injuries, according to DeNatalie.
He was taken to South Shore University Hospital for treatment after the accident and is expected to make a full recovery, according to authorities.
