The equipment was delivered to one of the tactical aviation brigades, as reported by Lieutenant General Mykola Oleshchuk, Commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The main component of the simulator is already being evaluated and prepared for use by Ukrainian specialists.

The F-16 fighter simulator, delivered by the Czech Republic, is in the training phase. May 2024. A frame from the video of the Ukrainian Air Force highlights that “this equipment is a complete aviation simulator, equipped with a real F-16 cockpit. The pilot can precisely identify the location of the controls, what they visualize during flight, and what signals are transmitted,” explained Oleksandr Dyakiv, representative of the Ukrainian Air Force Training Command.
With this simulator, pilots can review the location of the fighter’s controls, practice flight maneuvers, and the use of weaponry.
The Air Force Commander expressed gratitude to all who contribute to strengthening aviation in Ukraine. “I am grateful to all who assist in expanding our air capability. Besides the F-16, it is essential to develop a robust educational and material structure for our youth. I appeal to our allies to support this initiative,” emphasized Mykola Oleshchuk.
The first F-16 fighters are expected to arrive in Ukraine in the summer of 2024, and until then, pilots must complete their training.
It was reported in March 2024 that two groups of Ukrainian pilots will begin training on the F-16 in Denmark and the United States.
Training also encompasses technical personnel responsible for aircraft maintenance at airfields and preparation for flight operations.
The Netherlands plans to send F-16 fighters to Ukraine next fall, following Denmark, which plans to make the transfer in the summer.
