The BMW M2 has become the star of an impressive video showing the driver performing drift maneuvers with the car inside the brand’s factory in Munich, Germany.
The feat was accomplished by Elias Hountondji of the Red Bull Driftbrothers. In the drone-filmed footage, he can be seen maneuvering his brand-new competition vehicle, the BMW M2 Drift Competition, through the heart of BMW’s Munich factory.
Elias’s competition car is equipped with the same 3.0-liter inline-six twin-turbo engine as the M2, but modifications have doubled its power. While the M2 CS has 523 horsepower, the M2 Drift Competition produces an incredible 1,085 horsepower.
Although we see the car in action, it is still a work in progress, according to Elias, who revealed that development is not yet complete. Nevertheless, he is confident that the M2 will be ready in time for next year’s Drift Masters European Championship.
