The 47th Separate Mechanized Brigade released a video showing the Bradleys supporting the infantry during the attack. The brigade emphasized the importance of allocating all forces and means to support the infantry, including artillery, heavy armored vehicles, reconnaissance data, and active interaction with other units.

The Bradley infantry fighting vehicles from the 3rd Mechanized Battalion participated in the battle, transporting Ukrainian fighters from the Shkval unit, formed by ex-prisoners, to enemy positions. Subsequently, the American armored vehicles covered the attack and struck Russian positions in the forest plantations.

The “Shkval” unit is composed of citizens who served their sentences in prisons and volunteers determined to defend the country. The 47th Brigade reported that the recruitment department approached the selection process with great responsibility, interviewing each ex-prisoner to ensure their motivation and commitment. “Everyone has the right to make mistakes and, at the same time, have a second chance,” said the brigade.

For two months, the recruits were trained by the brigade’s best instructors, receiving all the necessary combat experience. “These men have been motivated and eager to fight since day one. However, the outcome on the battlefield always depends on high-quality training,” the brigade emphasized.

The brigade noted that the ex-prisoners serve exclusively in a separate unit within the brigade. In June, it was learned that the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade decided not to create a special unit for volunteers from the colonies.
