The confrontation occurred between the settlements of Shakhtarske and Novoukrainka, where Russian forces attempted to breach Ukrainian defensive lines.
The attack lasted several days and involved approximately 40 units of Russian military equipment, including tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, and trucks for transporting assault groups. The offensive intensified particularly against the 128th Brigade’s positions between Prechystivka and Zolota Nyva, with the Russians deploying a significant number of military vehicles equipped with anti-drone protective structures, known as “barbecues.”
Despite the additional protections installed by the Russian army, Ukrainian FPV drones successfully struck several Russian combat vehicles moving in convoy. These vehicles were detected in time by the brigade’s aerial reconnaissance system, allowing Ukrainian troops to coordinate precise attacks.
Facing losses, Russian forces took desperate measures, sending an armored vehicle directly to the 128th Brigade’s positions. However, this final push met immediate resistance as it collided with a Ukrainian tank, which fired point-blank, neutralizing the threat.
Thanks to the coordinated action of the Ukrainian troops, the Russian attack failed, forcing the enemies to retreat to their initial positions.
