Vespa has unveiled the Edizione Ottantesimo, a limited-edition model created to celebrate the brand’s 80th anniversary since its founding in 1946.
According to Ride Apart, the special edition will be limited to just 1,946 units, a tribute to the year the manufacturer’s first scooter was introduced.
The commemorative model is based on the Vespa 946 and features an exclusive finish inspired by steel, paying homage to the material that shaped the brand’s history. The scooter combines a metallic gray body with green accents on the seat, wheels, and the “80” graphics on the sides, along with a numbered plaque identifying each of the 1,946 units produced.

In addition to the scooter, Vespa has introduced a commemorative helmet featuring the same color scheme and finish as the vehicle. The accessory preserves the brand’s signature retro style while incorporating modern materials and up-to-date safety features.

The Edizione Ottantesimo will go on sale in September 2026. Of the 1,946 units produced, only 25 will be allocated to the U.S. market, making the edition even more exclusive.
