According to the October announcement, the unit stationed at Lewis-McChord in Washington State will be the first to undergo a full conversion into a Mobile Brigade Combat Team (MBCT).
According to Army Recognition, the MBCT is a mobile combat unit capable of operating in multidomain conflicts. As part of the shift, the team will begin using the Infantry Squad Vehicle (ISV).
Developed by GM Defense in partnership with Polaris, the ISVs provide high mobility, rapid deployment, and a low visual and electronic profile.
These vehicles weigh less than 2,270 kg, can be transported by CH-47 Chinook or UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters, reach speeds over 110 km/h, and have a range exceeding 500 km.

In addition to the new vehicles, the MBCT integrates unmanned systems such as robotic platforms for logistics and reconnaissance, tactical drones for surveillance, and networked sensors that transmit real-time data to mobile command posts.
