The United States Air Force carried out a series of strategic strikes against military facilities in Iran, including a kamikaze drone factory in Tehran.
The offensive also hit a warehouse of unmanned vessels near the Strait of Hormuz, an area considered sensitive for global maritime traffic.
Other targets included an industrial unit in the city of Yazd, responsible for manufacturing light and heavy torpedoes. The actions indicate a coordinated operation focused on weakening Iran’s ability to produce and deploy unmanned weaponry.
Authorities assess that the facility struck in the capital may be part of a broader drone assembly network in the country. One of the main known centers for this type of production is located in Isfahan, where drones from the Shahed family are assembled.
Despite the strikes carried out by the United States and Israel, Iran still maintains significant stockpiles of Shahed-136 drones and continues to use them frequently. Previous reports also indicate that Tehran has been receiving support from Russia to enhance its capabilities in this military sector.
