A tiny car, with room for just one person, went viral on social media and confused many Brazilians due to its resemblance to a narrow version of the old Fiat Uno.
Informally named “MeiUno,” the vehicle drew attention for its nostalgic design reminiscent of the Uno from the 1980s and 1990s. However, the model that became a sensation is actually a modified European Fiat Panda, handcrafted by Italian creator Andrea Marazzi.
The unusual project was presented at the Panda a Pandino event, the largest gathering of Panda enthusiasts, held in the Italian city of Pandino. Marazzi came up with the idea as a personal challenge: he measured his own chest, cut an original Panda in half, welded it back together, and created an ultra-compact car with just 50 cm of external width. Fully electric and functional, the mini car reaches up to 15 km/h and retains original parts such as the dashboard, steering wheel, seats, and even the trunk – all resized.

The resemblance to the Brazilian Fiat Uno is no coincidence: both share the same roots and practical 1980s design style. While the Uno was launched in Brazil in 1984, the Panda debuted in Europe in 1980 as an economical city car.
Despite the confusion, the viral vehicle is indeed a customized European Panda. Nicknamed “the narrowest Panda in the world,” it was tailor-made for just one person and has taken the internet by storm.
