The United Kingdom has announced a new military assistance package for Ukraine valued at approximately £750 million (around US$1 billion), including the delivery of 150,000 drones, more than 350 air defense missiles, and radar systems.
The announcement was made during a meeting of the Ukraine Defence Contact Group in Brussels, according to the Ukrainian news outlet Militarnyi.
According to the British government, the drones will be delivered by the end of 2026 and will include models produced by Ukraine’s own defense industry. The goal is to expand Kyiv’s surveillance, reconnaissance, and strike capabilities as the war with Russia continues.
The package also includes more than 350 Lightweight Multirole Missiles (LMM), known in the United Kingdom as Martlet, along with ground-based radar systems intended to strengthen protection against Russian drone and missile attacks.

Announcing the package, British Defence Minister Dan Jarvis said the equipment would help protect Ukrainian civilians from Russian attacks and strengthen the country’s defensive capabilities.
“This package of drones, air defense missiles, and radars will help protect the innocent people of Ukraine from Putin’s barrage of drones and missiles, and it is an honor to welcome President Zelenskyy to this important meeting,” Jarvis stated.
Funding will come from the Extraordinary Revenue Acceleration (ERA) program, a G7-backed mechanism that uses revenues generated from frozen Russian sovereign assets to support Ukraine. The initiative is part of a £2.26 billion British loan aimed at supporting Ukraine’s war effort.
