Drones of the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) hit two ammunition depots used by Russian forces in the Luhansk region during the night of August 19.
The warehouses were located in the village of Bilokurakine, a strategic point as it lies on a railway line used to transport military supplies from Russia to the front line.
According to preliminary information, the drones carried out at least seven strikes against the depots, resulting in powerful explosions that caused a large-scale fire.
The fire was detected by NASA’s international system, which monitors heat spots and flashes in real time in different parts of the world.
The SSU emphasized that the destruction of the ammunition represents a serious blow to Russian military logistics and directly supports Ukrainian troops resisting enemy advances. The incident was described as yet another example of the effectiveness of Ukrainian drones against the rear targets of the occupation forces.
