A drone from the Ukrainian Unmanned Systems Forces struck a Russian 9S32M1 radar, part of the S-300V air defense system, in an attack recorded on January 5 in the Donetsk region.
Images of the action were released by the commander of the USF and show the direct impact on the antenna module of the equipment, indicating the likely total incapacitation of the vehicle.
The attack was carried out by an unidentified model drone, operated by specialists from the 412th NEMESIS Brigade. While there are signs of additional damage to the chassis and possible impact on the crew, the absence of technical data on the payload used prevents a more precise assessment of secondary effects.
According to the ORYX analytical service, the 9S32M1 is an extremely rare target in the conflict, with only two stations of this type, 9S32M1 and 9S19M2, confirmed as damaged by Ukrainian forces.
The radar plays a central role in multichannel air defense, being capable of tracking multiple targets and guiding up to 12 missiles simultaneously, with a detection range of up to 150 kilometers.
