The Ukrainian Tactical Air Force carried out a precision strike against a position of Russian drone operators in the Kursk region, near the town of Tyotkino.
The action, recorded on video and shared by the Soniashnyk channel on Telegram, used an American JDAM-ER guided bomb. The target identification and damage verification were carried out by the Ukrainian Leleka-100 drone.
According to the WarArchive project, the location hit was in Korovyakivka, in the Glushkivsky district, a bit beyond Tyotkino. This strike adds to other recent Ukrainian offensives against S-400 air defense systems located in the Russian regions of Belgorod and Kursk, which may have facilitated the intensification of Ukrainian air operations in this area.
JDAM bombs, supplied by the United States, transform conventional munitions into GPS and inertial-guided bombs, with maneuverability and extended range. The version sent to Ukraine, JDAM-ER, has a range of up to 72.4 km and is capable of hitting targets with high precision, including fortified structures, thereby increasing the effectiveness of Ukrainian operations against Russian strategic positions.
