Two Ukrainian military technology companies, DevDroid and Rovertech, have joined forces to launch the Zmiy Droid 12.7, a new unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) designed for reconnaissance and combat missions.

The equipment combines the robust Zmiy platform with the Wolly 12.7 weapon module and is designed to operate remotely, providing fire support and target identification in high-risk areas.

The vehicle is equipped with mine-resistant armor and protection against FPV drone attacks, as well as a quiet electric motor, a range of up to 50 km, and a towing capacity of 700 kg. Its mobility allows it to operate in various terrains, such as snow, mud, sand, and flooded areas. It can be armed with a 12.7 mm M2 Browning machine gun, remotely controlled with the help of an AI system and ballistic computer, ensuring shooting accuracy.

Additional features include cameras with various viewing angles, a thermal sensor for nighttime use, and the exclusive Droid Box system, which facilitates the integration of Ukrainian military software.

The new drone is already ready to operate on the front lines and represents another advancement in Ukraine’s combat automation, which has been heavily investing in autonomous ground platforms since 2023.
