Ukraine has revealed a new large kamikaze drone called Behemoth, developed to strike targets at long distances and equipped with two different warheads.
The model was presented during the Wild Drones event by companies linked to Ukraine’s defence sector.
Classified as an “intermediate attack” drone, the Behemoth was designed for offensive missions with a short operational reach, capable of striking targets up to 300 kilometres away. The equipment has relatively compact dimensions, measuring just over 2 metres in length and with a wingspan of 2.28 metres.
The UAV stands out for its destructive power, carrying a 40 kg fragmentation explosive warhead in the front section and a second 35 kg thermobaric charge installed just behind it. According to the developers, the model has already entered mass production and has begun to be used by the Defence Forces of Ukraine.
Another distinguishing feature of the Behemoth is its ability to operate in different control modes, including fully autonomous, semi-automatic and FPV. In addition, the drone can fly at low altitude, a feature that makes it harder to identify and intercept by enemy air defence systems.
