The Ukrainian company Besomar has unveiled a reusable interceptor drone equipped with a shotgun and an automatic firing system, capable of neutralizing moving targets.
The equipment, showcased during the Iron Demo 2025 event, can make up to four shots and hit drones traveling at speeds of up to 200 km/h, including reconnaissance models and Russian UAVs of the Gerbera type.
The system uses digital communication that allows the drone to approach the target without being detected, along with a sensor that enables automatic firing when the threat enters the range, enhancing efficiency against maneuverable targets. The weapon, based on 12-gauge ammunition and a recoil-free system, maintains the drone’s stability during firing.
With an aircraft design and catapult launch, the drone is also equipped with a rotating camera to locate targets.
According to the developers, the technology can be adapted to multirotors and is already being used by Ukrainian military units to intercept enemy drones like Mavic and FPV on the front lines.
