The Ukrainian Defense Force has already received about 1,000 electric scooters from the Latvian company Global Wolf Motors, originally intended for border control but quickly adapted by soldiers for combat, reconnaissance, and supply transport operations.
According to CEO Klāvs Ašmanis, demand increased after the Special Forces showed interest, recognizing the mobility and speed offered by the vehicles.
The Mosphera models, weighing 74 kg, with a top speed of 100 km/h and a range of up to 300 km per charge, have been used for transporting ammunition and food, evacuating lightly wounded soldiers, and moving equipment.
The silent operation of the electric scooters also makes it harder for enemy drones to detect them, offering an advantage over motorcycles and off-road vehicles.
In addition to the scooters, the Ukrainian Defense Procurement Agency recently acquired 500 ATV vehicles to enhance troop mobility on the front lines, further consolidating the shift to lightweight, fast, and versatile vehicles in the conflict.
