Attack drones from the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU) carried out an attack in Crimea that destroyed a Russian An-26 aircraft and damaged two radars used by the S-300 and S-400 systems.
The operation, conducted by the Prymary unit, took place after the drones managed to evade Russian air defenses on the peninsula.
According to the Ukrainian agency, the An-26 was hit at the exact moment its engines were being started, with the impact concentrated on the left wing and the engine. The DIU stated that the action prevented the Russian crew from making any attempt to take off.
In addition to the aircraft, the drones also destroyed the 55Zh6M and 64N6E radars, the latter hidden under a dome to protect advanced air defense systems. Russian channels acknowledged the loss of the aircraft and reported dead and wounded at the airfield.
