The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense has officially coded and approved the NUMO ground robotic system for operation within the country’s Defense Forces, according to the developer Tank Bureau.

The decision confirms that the platform — designed for frontline logistics and combat missions — has reached operational maturity and is already being used in real missions.

NUMO was developed to reduce the risk to soldiers when performing dangerous tasks such as transporting ammunition, supplies, and equipment, as well as evacuation and other missions in areas exposed to enemy fire.

According to Tank Bureau, the platform’s modular design allows the installation of various accessories and modules as needed: a weapon turret, mast repeater, mine-clearing or blocking systems such as the “Egoza”, drag nets, and more.

In addition to its logistical role, the NUMO also serves as a base for combat modules. In collaboration with DevDroid, Tank Bureau developed the Droid TW — a remote reconnaissance and attack solution equipped with heavy machine guns, available in variants with KT-7.62 (PKT) or M2 Browning 12.7 mm.

According to company sources, the TW-12.7 version is already in service with about 30 brigades on the front line.

Operational use and manufacturer’s statement

“NRKs partially replace humans on the battlefield — they deliver supplies, carry out evacuations, and operate where the risk is too high. NUMO is already being successfully used by the military in missions, and its coding confirms the system’s practical readiness and value,” said Nazar Pryimak, director of Tank Bureau.
