The Ghosts unit, linked to the Ukrainian Defense Intelligence, carried out an offensive against Russia’s strategic facilities in occupied Crimea, targeting radar systems and navigation centers connected to GLONASS, the Russian satellite positioning system.
Targets included the Utes-T radar, used for air traffic control, and the coastal station MR-10, responsible for monitoring ships at sea and aiding maritime navigation.

The attacks also damaged a detection radar of the S-400 system and, most importantly, compromised two structures of major military significance: the GLONASS satellite navigation antenna and the RT-70 radio telescope in Eupatoria. The latter had been converted into a space command center, capable of processing satellite data and adjusting the accuracy of coordinates used by the Russian military aviation.
According to Kyiv, the destruction of these facilities hinders both civilian and military flight operations as well as Moscow’s naval monitoring, while weakening the effectiveness of the GLONASS system.
The Ghosts unit had previously been responsible for other significant attacks, including an offensive against a Russian missile ship in the Sea of Azov, part of the fleet equipped with Kalibr missiles used since the start of the war.
