The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has approved the use of the FPV Bird of Prey drone, manufactured in the country, to integrate it into its armed forces.

Designed based on combat experience, it was developed to resist enemy electronic warfare countermeasures and has already demonstrated effectiveness against armored vehicles and Russian fortifications. The drone has gone through an official coding and approval process for its incorporation into the military arsenal.

With different frame sizes, the Bird of Prey can carry various types of ammunition and warheads, capable of attacking tanks, armored vehicles, artillery, and enemy trenches. It operates in various weather conditions and can be used both day and night. In March, another locally made FPV drone, the WINFLY, was also approved for military use.

Ukraine plans to triple the acquisition of attack drones in 2025, with contracts already signed for 4.5 million units. The government is prioritizing domestic manufacturers who produce components locally, aiming to strengthen the domestic drone industry and ensure a continuous supply of unmanned systems for troops on the front line.
