Fire Point, a Ukrainian defense company, and Diehl Defense, the German missile and defense systems company, announced that they will join forces in a technology partnership.
According to a report by the Ukrainian outlet Militarnyi, the information came from Ihor Fedirko, CEO of the Ukrainian Council of Defense Industry (UCDI), in a post published on his Facebook page on April 14.
“This is exactly how Build with Ukraine works: Ukrainian solutions, Ukrainian combat experience, and Ukrainian engineering combined with the production, technological, and financial capabilities of partners,” Fedirko emphasized.
The Ukrainian company Fire Point is known for its FP-1 and FP-2 attack drones, as well as the long-range FP-5 Flamingo cruise missile. Meanwhile, the German company Diehl Defense manufactures the IRIS-T air defense systems for Ukraine, which have shown high effectiveness in intercepting Russian missiles and drones.
The recently signed partnership between the two companies is just one of six new cooperation agreements concluded in recent times between Ukrainian and German companies.
