The UGV Protector underwent new tests in Ukraine, this time equipped with the modern remote combat module Tavria-12.7, developed to enhance firepower and reduce risks for operators.

According to Ukrainian Armor, who released the video of the trials, the shots were fired at different distances and in both static and dynamic scenarios, demonstrating the versatility of the heavy unmanned platform.

The Tavria-12.7 module, armed with a Browning M2 machine gun and digital sensors, allows for the monitoring and engagement of both ground and air targets, including drones. The company had already tested a larger version of the system in 2024, equipped with 14.5mm caliber armament and sensors capable of identifying targets over 5 km away. The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine officially authorized the use of the Tavria modules at the end of 2024.

Unveiled in 2024, the Protector weighs up to 4 tons, reaches speeds of 60 km/h, and can carry up to 700 kg, with a range of 400 km. In June 2025, the platform was approved for use by the Ukrainian Defense Forces, establishing itself as a strategic asset for combat, logistics, and reconnaissance missions, with the goal of keeping soldiers out of the line of fire.
