Uber has unveiled the most unusual items left behind in its cars in 2024, highlighting New York as the most forgetful city of the year.
Among the most bizarre items were a urinal, 10 live lobsters, 175 hamburgers, Ozempic, breast milk, a chainsaw, a turtle, a Viking horn, and even a divorce settlement.
The announcement was made during a pop-up event in Manhattan, where the company handed out giveaways inspired by the lost items, such as umbrellas, headphones, and Shake Shack hamburgers.
In addition to the eccentric items, Uber also revealed that the most commonly forgotten objects were keys, wallets, and cell phones, with 1.7 million smartphones left behind in rides last year. Other frequently lost items included passports, clothing, luggage, glasses, and e-cigarettes.
The day with the most forgotten items was October 26, during the Halloween weekend, and Philadelphia Eagles fans stood out for leaving various team-related items behind.
During the event, Uber also took the opportunity to teach passengers how to recover their lost belongings through the app. Event attendees were amused by the creativity of the list and humorously commented on the items, even saying they wished they could find some of them.
