The United States has approved a Foreign Military Sale estimated at $34.5 million to Lebanon, which includes 140 HMMWV M1151A1 (Humvee) vehicles and associated equipment.

The notification to Congress was sent on December 16, 2025, and consolidates a previous request, expanding a case that had been below the formal congressional notification threshold.

Of the total, 90 additional vehicles are added to a previous supply of 50 units, bringing the combined package to 140 Humvees. In addition to the vehicles, the agreement includes RF-7850M-HH multiband radios, GPS receivers, Quicklook waveform for electronic countermeasures, as well as parts, technical documentation, training, and U.S. government and contractor-provided logistical and engineering support.

According to the State Department, the sale enhances the mobility and internal security of the Lebanese Armed Forces without altering the regional military balance. AM General has been designated as the prime contractor, and U.S. officials state that Lebanon has the capacity to absorb the equipment without negatively impacting U.S. defense readiness.
