The Turkish Army has just received the first serially produced T-155 TTA “Panter” wheeled self-propelled howitzer, reported the Turkish outlet SavunmaSanayiST.
According to the site, this delivery follows a multi-year qualification campaign and concludes a program led by ASFAT under the administrative responsibility of the General Directorate of Military Factories (AFGM), with ASELSAN, BMC, and MKE as subcontractors.

The prototype of the vehicle covered more than 20,000 kilometers on varied terrain and fired approximately 350 rounds in different firing scenarios during testing. The first firing tests with the prototype were conducted in December 2022, according to program records.
After completing environmental and performance tests, the vehicle entered the inventory of the Land Forces Command, and mass production began.

The T-155 TTA project integrates a 155 mm artillery turret onto an 8×8 wheeled tactical chassis, creating a long-range mobile fire system designed for modern maneuver operations.
“Thanks to their enhanced mobility, the Panters provide effective, accurate, and timely fire support to combat units and can successfully perform tasks such as suppressing and neutralizing enemy units,” the company stated.
