Truck drivers say they unknowingly transported drones used in attack on Russian military bases (Telegram @army_tv)
Russian truck drivers reported being deceived into transporting drones used in attacks on Russia’s strategic aviation bases, as part of the so-called “Operation Spider Web”.
According to information published by the Baza portal, the drivers believed they were carrying prefabricated houses, but were actually transporting disguised drones that were launched near military bases in the regions of Murmansk, Irkutsk, Ryazan, and Ivanovo in Russia. They received instructions by phone during the journey and parked the vehicles at designated spots, unaware of the true nature of the cargo.
The trucks used belonged to a man identified as Artem, 37 years old, and all departed from the city of Chelyabinsk. During testimonies, the drivers stated they only realized they were transporting drones when the vehicles began automatically launching the devices.

Russian police have opened a terrorism investigation and are now trying to locate Artem, who is reportedly of Ukrainian origin.
After the attacks, Russian authorities increased inspections on highways, causing major traffic jams in some areas. A warehouse in Chelyabinsk was also identified as a drone assembly site, based on images released by Ukrainian security services.
The operation targeted Russian strategic aircraft stationed at various military bases, and later satellite images revealed the impact of the attacks.
