Toyota has revealed the new GRMN Corolla 2026, the most extreme version ever produced of the Gazoo Racing performance hatchback.

Developed using the brand’s experience in the Japanese Super Taikyu racing series and extensive testing at the Nürburgring circuit, the model has received a series of upgrades aimed at track-focused driving.

One of the key changes is found in the turbocharged 1.6-liter three-cylinder engine, which now produces approximately 409 Nm of torque—nine more than the standard GR Corolla. According to Toyota, the gain is most noticeable between 4,000 and 4,600 rpm, a crucial range for accelerating out of corners. The model remains available exclusively with a six-speed manual transmission.

The GRMN also receives an extensive aerodynamic package. The hood, front fenders, and large adjustable rear wing are made from carbon fiber. New air inlets and outlets help reduce pressure in the wheel wells and improve high-speed stability. The rear wing can be manually adjusted by up to five degrees.

The suspension has been completely revised with new monotube dampers and rebound springs, while the electric steering and all-wheel-drive system have been recalibrated to improve torque distribution and cornering stability. The model also adopts Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, the same tires used on the limited-edition Morizo version.

To reduce weight, Toyota removed the rear seats and adopted lighter components, cutting approximately 30 kg compared to the standard GR Corolla. The car also features a new intercooler water-spray system designed to help control temperatures during extended track sessions.

Toyota confirmed that the GRMN Corolla will be sold in North America, Japan, and Australia. The automaker has not yet announced pricing or production numbers but indicated that availability will be limited.
