Toyota surprised by creating a convertible version of its four-door Crown SUV. It’s a unique model built to participate in the Grand Sumo championship parade.
This isn’t the first time Toyota has built convertible versions of the Crown. In the past, the Japanese company offered cars for parades and other events, and it’s already producing variants of the latest model.
It’s already available as a sedan, wagon, and conventional crossover, and the manufacturer is interested in expanding the lineup with more body styles depending on public reception, so there’s a chance the convertible Crown will cease to be a unique concept and enter mass production.

According to information from the Top Gear website, Toyota used 3D printers to design most of the new components, allowing them to fit in the most perfect way possible, which means engineers had to handcraft these unique parts.
Additionally, they raised the rear passenger floor by four centimeters and added larger leather seats, removing the pillars and developing a sedan-style luggage rack to replace the original rear door.
The interior remains stylish, with plenty of cream leather to support the comforting finish of the model. Additionally, the front seat headrests also adopt a unique inward-facing design.
