With more than 3 million units sold over 40 years, this sixth generation features a renewed look and impressive functionalities, preserving the adventurous character and robustness our customers admire.”

The 2025 4Runner will be available in 2WD, part-time 4WD, or full-time 4WD versions. The 2WD models come with an automatic limited-slip differential (Auto LSD), while the 4WD variants offer an electronically controlled two-speed transfer case, Active Traction Control (A-TRAC), and Auto LSD.

i-FORCE Power MAX

The new 4Runner offers two options for turbocharged four-cylinder 2.4-liter engines, including the i-FORCE engine with 278 horsepower and 317 lb.-ft. of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
The i-FORCE MAX hybrid powertrain, available in the TRD Off-Road and Limited and standard in the TRD Pro, Trailhunter, and Platinum models, combines the turbocharged engine with an integrated 48 HP electric motor, generating a total system power of up to 326 horsepower and 465 lb.-ft. of torque.

Cutting-Edge Technology

The 2025 4Runner incorporates the latest technology from Toyota, with a new 8 or 14-inch touchscreen multimedia display running Toyota’s most advanced multimedia audio system.
