At this year’s Tokyo Auto Salon, a Toyota Crown Sport drew attention with its “costume” of a Ferrari Purosangue.

Modified by the Japanese tuner Aero Over, the SUV received aesthetic upgrades that make it resemble the Italian model. Among the changes are a front spoiler that attaches to the original grille, giving it a more rounded appearance similar to the Purosangue, and decals imitating Ferrari’s iconic yellow shield, placed on the front and the fenders.

Despite the modifications, elements like the Crown’s upper grille and headlights remain unchanged, reinforcing the natural similarity between the two vehicles.

The rear, shown in videos online, features quad exhausts and a slightly updated look, although these items are not yet listed on the Aero Over website.

Interested buyers can get the spoiler and decal set for around $534. It’s a low cost to transform the Japanese crossover into an “Italian stallion” in appearance, but not without risks: the resemblance could lead to legal action from Ferrari.

However, Toyota’s Crown Sport version is not available in the U.S., leaving Ferrari as the only real option for Americans.
