The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has authorized the use of the Gulliver ground drone in the country’s defense forces.
Developed by Ukrainian engineers based on combat experience, the robot serves several functions, such as transporting ammunition and equipment, evacuating the wounded, and the ability to carry combat modules.
Additionally, in a special configuration, it can perform remote mine clearance. The system supports over 300 kg of cargo on paved roads and has enough power to tow light vehicles stuck in the mud.
Compact and durable, the Gulliver can be transported in the bed of a pickup truck and operates under various weather conditions, overcoming steep terrains. Its range is up to 45 km, with an autonomy of up to 5 hours and a maximum speed of 20 km/h. Control can be done remotely via the STARLINK system, ensuring efficiency on the battlefield. The battery has enough charge to travel long distances and return to base.
Currently, more than 200 Ukrainian companies are working on the development of ground robotic systems for various military purposes. The government has been encouraging this sector by creating more flexible regulations and supporting manufacturers and developers.
