Renegade UxS has confirmed that its FPV drone platform Nightmare has officially been added to the U.S. government’s BLUE UAS Cleared List, making it available for use by American military units.

According to the website Defence Blog, the company announced that the Nightmare FPV is available in both analog and digital configurations and was added to the authorized equipment list through cooperation with Nocturnal AI, a U.S. defense partner specializing in unmanned systems.

The company highlighted the drone’s operational credibility, noting that it “was used in Ukraine and achieved top 3 results in major FPV flight competitions with the U.S. Army and the U.S. Marine Corps.”

These tests, according to Renegade UxS, demonstrated that the system not only complies with the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) but has also been tested in combat conditions by U.S. partners abroad.

The Nightmare is described by the company as a software-defined FPV attack drone, designed specifically for frontline tactical units, and “was conceived to provide tactical units with an agile, short-range attack capability with a platform that can be mass-produced, deployed, adapted, and maintained at scale.”

Its main strengths are the modularity and adaptability of the drone for battlefield environments that are constantly evolving.

Its inclusion in the BLUE UAS framework enables faster procurement and deployment across all U.S. units, without the delays normally associated with broader Department of Defense acquisition cycles.
