The Netherlands announced a new aid package for Ukraine totaling $359.6 million, split between the purchase of anti-drone systems and joint production of long-range attack drones.

According to Ukrainian Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal, the agreement was formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding signed between the two countries, with President Volodymyr Zelensky present. The initiative is part of the “Build with Ukraine” program, which aims to strengthen industrial and technological cooperation among Kyiv’s allied nations.

Of this amount, $232 million will go toward acquiring drone defense systems, while $127.6 million will fund the creation of a joint unmanned aerial vehicle production line in the Netherlands.

According to Dutch Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans, the partnership also opens opportunities for Dutch companies to invest in Ukraine and for Ukrainian companies to establish themselves in the Netherlands, promoting joint ventures in the military industry.

Additionally, the Dutch government is opening a coordination center in Kyiv to support tech companies interested in the Ukrainian market. The Netherlands has also recently begun large-scale production of drones and batteries for domestic use and for Ukraine, at VDL’s facilities in Born, in collaboration with companies such as Milrem Robotics, Tulip Tech, and DeltaQuad.
