The Dutch government has announced a new military aid package to Ukraine worth approximately $202 million. The initiative includes sending 100 drone detection radars and 20 medical evacuation vehicles.
According to Dutch Defense Minister, Ruben Brekelmans, the equipment is expected to be delivered by the end of this year and will strengthen Ukraine’s capability to identify and counter aerial threats.
Of this total, about $93 million will be allocated to strengthening the international coalition supporting drones, as detailed by the Dutch Ministry of Defense. This measure complements a previous agreement worth about $580 million made with the Ukrainian defense industry for the production of 600,000 drones.
Since the start of the large-scale Russian invasion in early 2022, the Netherlands has committed approximately $11.6 billion in military support to Ukraine. The new announcement was made ahead of the NATO Summit in The Hague, reinforcing the country’s active role in supporting Ukrainian resistance.
