While the SPY-6 radar is widely used by the U.S. Navy, the SPY-7 emerges as a more flexible alternative, as it can operate with European armaments. The debate gains relevance in light of recent cases, such as the delay in the delivery of Patriot systems to Switzerland, highlighting the strategic risks of such dependence.
