Mercedes-AMG has revealed the new E53 Hybrid 2026 wagon, which combines sporty performance with practicality.
The model features the same powertrain as the E53 sedan, including a 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder turbo engine, a 161 hp electric motor, and a 21 kWh battery. Together, they produce 577 hp, which can increase to 604 hp with the optional Race Start mode.
The 0-100 km/h acceleration is achieved in just 3.8 seconds, and the all-wheel drive is standard. The wagon also comes with four-wheel steering, adaptive suspension, and an electronically controlled rear differential.
The electric motor is integrated with the nine-speed automatic transmission, and the battery is located under the trunk, which may reduce cargo space. The electric range for the model has not been disclosed, but for the sedan, it is around 68 km.
The AMG Dynamic Plus package adds, in addition to Race Start mode, composite brakes with red calipers, active engine mounts, and sporty interior items such as a Nappa leather steering wheel with microfiber trim.
Visually, the E53 Wagon offers several paint options, including an optional carbon fiber package, wheels up to 21 inches, and interior finishes in leather or microfiber. A Burmester audio system with 17 speakers is standard, and there is the option of the Superscreen, which adds a screen for the front passenger. The limited “Edition 1” edition features an exclusive Alpine gray paint and unique details.
Pricing has not yet been disclosed, but it is expected to be around $90,000.
