A Tesla will expand the Model Y lineup in 2025 by adding a Performance version and a 7-seat option to the Juniper project.

Currently, the vehicle can already be ordered in the UK in the Launch Edition Long Range AWD version, with a starting price of $76,755 or a 24 to 48-month PCP leasing contract. The announcement of the expansion was made by executives Lars Moravy and Franz von Holzhausen, and test images are already circulating online.

Tesla’s Performance versions are known for their high performance, and the Model Y Performance follows this trend. As with the Model 3 Performance, a higher power output is expected, along with improvements to the suspension and energy efficiency. For example, the Model 3 Performance accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 2.9 seconds, has 460 horsepower, and an adaptive suspension that can be adjusted in three modes: Standard, Sport, and Track.

In addition to the increase in power, Tesla is also focusing on efficiency, reducing energy consumption. The Model 3 Performance achieved a 2% improvement in battery economy compared to the previous version, achieving a range of 329 miles with a consumption of 16.7 kWh/100 km. The Model Y Performance is expected to follow this path, offering high performance without compromising efficiency.
