The Tesla Model Y, the world’s most popular EV, has received an update for 2025, codenamed Juniper.

The main changes include adjustments to design, technology, and aerodynamic efficiency, with Tesla expecting these improvements to further boost the model’s success since its launch in 2019.

The front design has been simplified, with a lower hood and narrower headlights, along with the removal of the Tesla logo, similar to the Cybertruck. There are also new wheel and paint options, including solid black and Quicksilver.

The interior of the Model Y has also been updated, maintaining the Model 3 design but with some differences, such as new materials on the doors and ambient lighting that spans the width of the cabin. Additionally, the 2025 version now includes physical stalks for the indicators, which were not present in the Model 3.

Sound quality has been improved with better insulation, and Wi-Fi connectivity has been expanded by 200%, enabling more flexible over-the-air updates.

In terms of specifications, the Model Y Juniper will initially be available in the Launch Series version with all-wheel drive and long-range, maintaining the powertrain from the previous model. The WLTP range has been improved from 532 km to 568 km, thanks to aerodynamic and hardware improvements. Performance remains impressive, with acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.3 seconds and a top speed of 200 km/h.
